Welcome to The Toy Chest Children’s Charity.
 

We are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to nurturing hope, joy, and healthy development for children across Kentucky. What began as a simple mission to bring the magic of childhood to kids facing hardship has grown into a statewide effort to provide new toys, clothing, and essential items to children in underserved communities, including those in shelters, foster care, and areas where resources are limited.

We believe every child deserves more than just the basics — they deserve to feel seen, valued, and supported. A toy, a warm coat, or a new outfit can spark imagination, bring comfort during difficult times, and remind a child that they are cared for and not forgotten.

Our work goes beyond meeting immediate needs. Through our Junior Ambassador Program, we’re inspiring empathy, leadership, and service in the next generation by creating meaningful opportunities for young people to support their peers and serve their communities.

The Toy Chest is powered by volunteers, donors, and partners who share one purpose: to make a tangible difference in the lives of children. Together, we collect and distribute thousands of gifts each year — each one a small act of hope that can change a child’s day, season, or life.
