Ways to Get Involved
Volunteer With The Toy Chest
Christmas at The Toy Chest takes a lot of elves. Help us sort and organize donations, shop for children, prepare gifts, assist with events, or help get Christmas into the hands of the families we serve. There are opportunities for individuals, families, groups, and businesses to get involved.
Give Financially
Your donation helps The Toy Chest purchase toys, clothing, coats, and other items needed to make Christmas possible for the children we serve. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, contributions to The Toy Chest are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Click HERE to make a donation.
Sponsor a Child
One of the most meaningful ways to participate is by sponsoring a child and shopping from their Christmas wish list. You'll help provide new clothes and toys chosen especially for them and help create the excitement of seeing something under the tree with their name on it. Click HERE for our Sponsor a Child page.
Host a Toy Drive
Bring your workplace, school, church, organization, or community together to collect new toys for Kentucky kids. A single toy drive can become hundreds of moments of Christmas joy.
Organize a Coat or Clothing Drive
We provide more than toys. New coats and clothing help children feel warm, cared for, and confident long after Christmas morning. Gather your community and help us meet one of the most important needs of the families we serve.
Become an Elf at Santa's Workshop
Become at Elf at Santa's Workshop on Saturday, December 12, 2026 and help fill gift bags for kids across Kentucky! Click HERE to sign-up!
Share Our Mission
Follow The Toy Chest, share our posts, invite your friends to volunteer, or tell your employer about us. Sometimes helping begins with simply introducing someone else to the mission.
It Takes a Community to Make Christmas Happen
For 16 years, that is exactly what Kentucky communities have done.
Thousands of acts of generosity, large and small, have come together to create something much bigger: children waking up on Christmas morning with new clothes to wear, toys to open, and the excitement and anticipation every child deserves to experience.
To every volunteer who gives their time, every sponsor who shops for a child, every donor who gives, and every business and organization that stands behind our mission: thank you.
You are The Toy Chest.
And together, we're creating Christmas Joy for Every Girl and Boy.
